Researchers have discovered that the repulsive force between molecules could be utilized to levitate (to hold the molecule aloft) effecting friction-free motion and minimizing wear and tear of molecular parts.
Prof. Federico Capasso, an applied Physicist of Harvard University, contends that a host of tiny gadgets could be developed with improved efficiency with the above levitation property at the microscopic level and molecular level.
These gadgets form part of nano technological devices which could be better deployed in medicine and other fields.
We are sure that Dr. Abdul Kalam's dream machines viz., nano technology devices will soon become a reality!
