Bharath Vijayaraghavan, an IITM final year student, Vaidhyanathan, a software developer from HCL Technologies and Sunil Chandrashekar, a mechanical engineer who has recently joined his third job at Ford Motor company are some of the achievers from Chennai in the Common Admission Test (CAT) for all IIMs in India this year. Each one put in smart and hard work either with the help of popular training institutes, with the lessons they learnt from their past unsuccessful attempts and expert advice from their seniors who have successfully cleared the exam in the recent past.
Out of 2.76 lakh candidates all over India, only 5000 have made it at the entrance exam. From the above 5000, only 2000 will be shortlisted for the IIMs based on personal interview and group discussion.
