Enjoy everyday breathing exercises!

We must get into the habit of physical exercises everyday. Select those type of exercises which keeps your heart beat high and stimulate rich flow of oxygen into your system. Steady regular walking will be an effective workout for older people. Taking long slow deep breath regularly is the best form of exercise to keep your body and mind fit!

Avoid junk food and eat fruits and green salads. Research reveal that apple and tomato keep the lung functions super. 5 apples a week coupled with 2 tomatoes every other day is the right combo to keep wheezing away.

Whether workplace or home, keep the windows open for fresh air circulation. The toxic fumes found on household products and cigarette smoke remnants are swept away by the entry of fresh air.

Before going to sleep try this deep breath cycle for 10 times - breathe in for 3 seconds, breathe out for 3 seconds and hold your breath for the next 3 seconds. This sets the right ambiance for a deep sound sleep during the night. If you snore, consult a doctor for remedial measures.

Researchers from Australia advocate singing to tone up breathing muscles. Choose the bath room for singing, sing along with your iPod (make sure you don't create nuisance to your neighbours in a public place!), sing for your joy, sing for your life!

  1. Excellent advice here. I didn't know about singing though. Very nice to know.

    Have a terrific day. :)
