Avoid non-stick utensils and water-resistant fabrics to prevent thyroid disease!

Do you use non-stick pans frequently in your kitchen?
Do you use water-resistant fabric for your dress material?
Are carpets in your home stain-proof?
You have a greater risk of contracting thyroid disease! A chemical substance known as Perfluorooctanoic Acid (PFOA)employed in all these products is linked with thyroid disease as reported by British researchers.

Scientists from the United Kingdom find that people with higher percentage of PFOA in their blood are more prone to be affected by thyroid. However, no scientific causal connection has been established in this regard so far.

At this juncture, environmental health gurus raised an alarm against use of the chemical PFOA so that industries and consumers may avoid appliances and gadgets such as non-stick pans and water-resistant fabrics.

I am sure technologists will definitely find an alternative to PFOA very soon!
