You can now switch off hunger at your convenience!

Here is a good news for weight watchers! Scientists of Birmingham University in the United Kingdom have developed a diet-suppressing solution that converts solid arrivals in the stomach into a gel form which has a tendency to curb appetite. The solution known as hydrocolloid turns into a gel with the stomach’s acidic environment using naturally occurring polymers found in a wide range of foods like starch in bread.

This gel formation induces a feeling of fullness in the stomach so that intake of snacks could be reduced. Researchers are trying to set a time tag like 3 hours, 5 hours, etc., during which period the stomach refuses any food or snacks. The gel will be digested after this predetermined period and the yearning to snack returns to kindle hunger once again. Sounds great, is it not so?

Even for the no-so-fat people, this concept "trigger your hunger at your convenience" works as a boon during long travels, seminars and other occasions where you do not have a control on your food timings.

No doubt it is a great feeling to switch off your hunger at your convenience!
