Mind reading was the job of psychiatrist and magicians once upon a time. Today technology has enabled brain signals to be translated into words. Yes, An International team lead by Bradley Greger of Utah University has been able to capture brain signals and translate them into speech using sensors attached to the surface of the brain. In the experimental stage, paralyzed patients who could not speak, were enabled to communicate using this brain reading techniques. Using button sized electrodes scientists recorded brain signals on a computer which was translated into words. These are common words like yes, no, cold, hungry, goodbye, etc., which help the patient to interact with the doctor.
This is an excellent technique which can be used on criminals to bring out the truth and secrets. May be another form of lie detector...!
