Posthumous wedding of a French woman!

We have heard of posthumous awards for gallant deeds and heroic acts of men and women in the army who had sacrificed their life for their country. Have you heard of posthumous wedding for a woman with her fiance after two years of his death? True, a young French woman by name Karen Jumeaux married her dead boy friend recently in the presence of relatives and friends of both families.

The couple met for the first time in the year 2007. Their love life lasted for barely two years. Shortly after the arrival of their baby boy in the year 2009, the fiance Anthony Mailot died in a road accident. The grief stricken girl appealed to President Sarkozy to grant her special permission to marry her dead boy friend posthumously. The French law allows such marriages under specific circumstances. As the girl was able to prove her love beyond doubts she was granted permission for the marriage.

Yet another example of true love ah?
