Just a look to sign-in your computer system, no need to key-in password!

Keying in password may become a thing of the past, flicker of your eyes will be your new pass code in the near future.  This new concept is based on the most-talked-about biometrics.

Biometric is the measurement of some element in the human body.  For example fingerprints are used to identify people in respect of international travel, crime detection, ID cards in corporate offices and factories  as a high tech security measure.

In computer systems, biometrics makes use of the fact that no two human beings 'look' at the computer in the same manner.  While looking at a picture, different people move their eyes along their points of interest in different sequences.  Even if two people trace the same paths, the exact way they move their eyes is different. Computer scientists in Texas State University make use of this individual difference in 'looks' as a security aspect to identify people.

It is so simple, just stare at your system and it's Open Sesame!

  1. I like this idea a lot. Some fool will find a way around it, but for a while we'll all be secure. I like this a lot.

    Have a terrific day. :)
