Patriotic sports announcements!

The Vancouver Winter Olympics Final between the Canadians and the US men's ice hockey teams was on in 2010.  As I watched the game at the airport, it was time to board. 

About 45 minutes into the flight, the captain announced over the intercom, "The US team just scored an equalizer."

The plane, filled mostly with Canadians, groaned.

Later, the captain made another announcement, "For the US fans aboard, congratulations.  Your team just won silver."

There was about a two-second delay before the plane exploded in celebration.
