First ever suicide by a robot!

Don't be under the impression that robots can be employed for repetitive works.  Yes, robots also get bored to do the same thing over and again.  A robot got so depressed that it committed suicide.  This happened in  a home in Austria.

The house bot had to cleanup left-over cereal; it climbed onto the kitchen hotplate destroying itself in the blaze.  According to reports the robot had grown tired of being forced to clean the same house everyday.  By some method it recharged itself, tried to reach the surface-to-be-cleaned pushing a cooking pot aside and that's the end of it.

It was an elaborate process to cleanup this mess by the fire fighting crew as the entire building had to be evacuated.

Moral of the story:  Robots do have feelings.  Be kind to them or else they will commit harakari like the humans.
