Commandos down the drains.

Recent Mumbai Terror Attack has put in a lot of weird (smart!) options to intelligence sleuths. The possibility of entry / escape of the attacker through underground drinking water & sewerage pipe lines is being explored for counter action.


There is a proposal to train the commandos to travel fast through underground pipe lines to give a hot chase to terrorists.

A whooping 6000 km is the approximate length of pipe lines managed by the Metro Water department. The Chennai Corporation contributes 900 km of pipe lines on its part.
No wonder the cops need specialization in underground chase to give a tough time to the attackers in case of any such event (let us pray no such event should take place).
